Who we are

EmpireDigitalByEl is a small digital-products business that sells printable products on Etsy (https://www.etsy.com/shop/EmpireDigitalByEl). This policy covers EmpireDigitalByEl Pin Publisher, the private business tool its owner uses to share those products on Pinterest (the "App").

The App is not a public service. It runs on the business owner's own computer, has no user sign-up, and connects only to the business owner's own Pinterest account.

What the Pinterest integration does

With the account owner's sign-in and approval through Pinterest's official authorization (OAuth) screen, the App uses the Pinterest API to:

• read basic information about the connected account, to confirm that the connection works;

• - create boards and read its own boards;

• - publish Pins of the business's own product images, each linking to the product's Etsy listing, at most five per day;

• - read its own Pins, so it does not post the same Pin twice.

Permissions requested: user_accounts:read, boards:read, boards:write, pins:read, pins:write.

The App does not read other Pinterest users' data, follow accounts, send messages, comment, or run ads. It never asks for or stores a Pinterest password.

Information collected and stored

• Access tokens: the access token and refresh token issued by Pinterest, stored in the macOS Keychain on the owner's computer, never in a file or code repository.

• - Account username: the connected Pinterest account's username, shown in the App to confirm which account is connected.

• - Board and Pin identifiers: the IDs of the boards and Pins the App created, so it does not post the same Pin twice.

• - Activity log: a local record of the App's own actions (for example, "Pin published") with the time and identifier.

• All of this is stored only on the business owner's computer. The App does not collect information about people who view or save the Pins.

How information is used

This information is used only to connect the account, publish the business's own Pins, avoid duplicate Pins, and keep a record of what the App did. It is not used for advertising or profiling.

Sharing

We do not sell, rent or share Pinterest data with anyone. Data is sent only to Pinterest, through the Pinterest API, to carry out the actions listed above.

Retention

Access tokens are kept until the Pinterest account is disconnected in the App; disconnecting deletes them from the owner's computer. The username is cleared on disconnect. Board and Pin identifiers and the activity log are kept in the App's local database as the business's records until deletion is requested.

Revoking access and deleting data

You can revoke the App's access at any time in your Pinterest account settings, under apps with access to your account. To ask for stored Pinterest data to be deleted, email the address below; we will delete it promptly and confirm by email. Published Pins can also be deleted directly on Pinterest.

Security

Tokens are kept in the operating system's encrypted keychain and are never printed, logged, or committed to code repositories. The App's control panel is reachable only from the owner's own computer.

Children

The App is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes

If the App's use of Pinterest data changes, this page will be updated and the effective date changed.
